Today, Friday, November 29th, Pittsburgh’s rum distillery, Maggie’s Farm releases a blend of its own rums that are they finished in an Oloroso sherry cask from Jerez, Spain.
On Twitter, owner and founder Tim Russell describes the blend as Maggie’s Farm’s “best to date.”

Here’s a Black Friday sale worth doing a little stampeding for Manatawny Still Works is hosting a “Distiller’s Stash Sale” at their Pottstown distillery today they’re putting a lot of their low stock one-offs on sale
So if you’ve missed out on former releases like their Apple Brandy or the rare 3rd Anniversary Cask release, now is the chance to snag a bottle. And of course it won’t hurt to grab a bottle of the new Bottled in Bond release.
The Distiller’s Stash Sale is only available at the distillery. Doors open at noon.

Eight Oaks Farm Distillery is releasing its first ever aged spirit in 750ml bottles. The Aged Rum will be available exclusively at the Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem, PA. Make plans to visit.
Phoenixville’s Bluebird Distilling is dropping three spirit releases on Black Friday, November 29th. Two of the releases are described as extremely limited (like 75bottles limited).
The releases are Bluebird’s Honey Whiskey, Single Malt finished in sherry casks and cask strength bourbon.

One of the best things about craft spirits is seeing how releases change over time. And has the industry gets beyond the baby stage, the changes can be dramatic. It’s what makes Rowhouse Spirits’ four-year old brandy such a worthwhile spirit to seek out. Distiller Dean Browne is releasing a four-year old version of his PA Brandy made with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Quantities will be extremely limited.
Look for the brandy at Browne’s Frankford Avenue distillery in Kensington.

Liberty Pole Spirits of Washington, PA doesn’t do too many special releases but they do have one scheduled for Saturday, November 16th
The distillery’s Spice Flavored Whiskey is going on sale on site and at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Libations the Aged Liberty Pole Rye has all-spice, cinnamon, orange peel and brown sugar blended in for a holiday treat.
This isn’t the only news out of Liberty Pole, earlier this month, the three-and-a-half year old distillery prepped its first straight (two-year aged) whiskey for bottling. Till now, the older whiskey had been blended with newer runs before bottling.
This Saturday, Pottstown, PA’s Manatawny Still Works is releasing the latest in its Small Batch Whiskey Series. The series allows the distillery to play around with its mash bills, time aging and in this case, finishing the whiskey in port barrels from California’s Gandona Estate Winery.
This is the 13th release in the series and will only be available at the distillery and at select accounts that regularly carry Manatawny Still Works.

On Saturday, February 18th Allentown’s County Seat Distilling is releasing its first collaboration beer made with HiJinx Brewing Company’s Steal Your Face Stout.
In order to make the whiskey, County Seat has taken Steal Your Face Stout and distilled it into a rich malt whiskey that they then aged for fourteen months.
