A Pennsylvania Martini Thanks to Collaborative Vermouth

Philadelphia Distilling and Stone and Key Cellars (Montgomeryville, PA) have collaborated to release Revolutionary Vermouth. And right now you can get the vermouth, plus everything else you need to make a Pennsylvania Martini right from Philadelphia Distilling.

The Fishtown distillery is selling Martini Kits that include three one-liter bottles of Bluecoat Gin, a bottle of Revolutionary Vermouth and three oranges for $99 (normally $121). Basically, the vermouth is free. Get the pack direct from the distillery or shipped within the state of Pennsylvania.

The vermouth is also available direct from Stone and Key (but not Philadelphia Distilling, as distilleries can’t sell wine products to go – and that’s what vermouth is).

Wigle Adds Bottled Manhattan To Lineup

Wigle Manhattan Cocktail

We raised an eyebrow when Wigle Whiskey announced the recent release of their bottled Old Fashioned was to be the last batch of the bottled cocktail for the year. That makes a bit more sense now that Wigle has released a Bottled Manhattan. The Manhattan begins with Wigle’s Organic Straight Rye Whiskey, adding Wigle Amaro Vermut and Wigle’s Pomander orange bitters to the recipe.

Bottles ae available at all Wigle locations including the recently opened Bakery Square location. And this weekend you can pair your bottle with a drive-through dinner for two of brown butter gnocchi. The $45 bottle is also available to be shipped across the Commonwealth.

Quantum Spirits Adds Sweet Vermouth to Lineup

Quantum Spirits releases Pennsylvania Vermouth

Carnegie, PA’s Quantum Spirits has just released its first Sweet Vermouth ($26 for 750 ml, 22%ABV). The Pennsylvania produced vermouth, Marquette Liqueur is described as “well balanced and perfectly viscous, notes of berries, bright fruit, herbs and rooibos shine through.”

And what do you do if you have a vermouth and an amaro in your liquor lineup? Why you start offering cocktail bottle kits of course.

Quantum is now offering a Manhattan Bottle Kit ($55 for a bottle of Quantum Solera Rye and Marquette Liqueur) and a “Nerdgroni” Bottle Kit ($80 for a bottle of Quantum Gin, Quantum Amaro and Marquette Liqueur).
