Philadelphia Distilling and Yards Brewing are releasing the fourth iteration of their collaborative whiskey. Bottles will be available on Sunday, December 8th. Bottles can be reserved online.
The whiskey begins as a malt forward brew of a recipe similar to Yards Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale and then sent over to Philadelphia Distilling for distillation and aging.
The Whiskey is described as:
Nose: Hints of caramel, toffee, vanilla, warm spices like cinnamon, and a bit of wood. The malt character from the beer comes through the most on the nose.
Taste/Flavor: Sweet with round malty flavors; spiciness up front and wood dryness at the end.
Bottles are 375 ml and are $45 each. There is a limit of two per person. A Pick-Up Party will be hosted at Philadelphia Distilling on Sunday, December 8th from 1pm to 5pm. A complimentary Bluecoat cocktail or Yards’ beer will be offered with each bottle purchase.
