Liberty Pole’s Annual Spiced Whiskey Goes on Sale Sunday, November 1

Liberty Pole Spiced Whiskey

Liberty Pole’s very popular Spiced Whiskey is set to go on sale this Sunday, November 1st at 10 am. But like most things in 2020, it will be different this year. In order to avoid crowding at the distillery, sales will only be available via Liberty Pole’s online store. Once ordered, bottles may be picked up at the distillery starting on Tuesday, November 3rd or they can be shipped directly to Pennsylvania residents.

Liberty Pole’s Spiced Whiskey is a blend of the distillery’s rye, cinnamon, allspice and oranges. That soaks together for about a week. Then brown sugar is added for a touch of sweetness. Think of it as a more sophisticated take on another Pennsylvania tradition, Rock & Rye.

The price of the Spiced Whiskey is $49 each and in addition to online, bottles will also be sold at PA Libations.

Red Pump’s Wheat Whiskey Back in Stock

Washington, PA’s Red Pump Spirits has its Farmhouse Whiskey back in stock. Unlike Red Pump’s line of Ryes, the Farmhouse Whiskey is a wheat whiskey but it is aged in barrels that previously held the distillery’s Rebellion Rye.

The taste is described as having the “mellow taste of a wheat whiskey with a touch of spice from the rye.” Red Pump Farmhouse Whiskey is bottled at 80 proof and goes for $52 per 750 ml bottle. Pick up a bottle at their distillery.

A Spiced Hits Shelves This Weekend

Liberty Pole Spirits of Washington, PA doesn’t do too many special releases but they do have one scheduled for Saturday, November 16th

The distillery’s Spice Flavored Whiskey is going on sale on site and at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Libations the Aged Liberty Pole Rye has all-spice, cinnamon, orange peel and brown sugar blended in for a holiday treat.

This isn’t the only news out of Liberty Pole, earlier this month, the three-and-a-half year old distillery prepped its first straight (two-year aged) whiskey for bottling. Till now, the older whiskey had been blended with newer runs before bottling.
