Kinsey Introduces Winter Whiskey

Kinsey Winter Whiskey

One of the more welcome trends of 2020 is definitely “Winter Whiskey.” A whiskey blended with warming spices suitable as a reward for shoveling snow, settling in by a fire, or simply with a couch and NetFlix.

Bluebird Distilling launched their Winter Whiskey with spices and brown sugar on Black Friday. Liberty Pole Spirits offers a Winter seasonal of their rye whiskey spiced with cinnamon, allspice, orange peel and then sweetened with a touch of brown sugar simple syrup. The spirits are a nod to the Pennsylvania Coal Country’s Boilo, itself a riff on a Lithuanian liqueur flavored with citrus fruits, herbs, spices, honey and ginger.

Now, New Liberty Distilling has announced and released its own limited release Kinsey Winter Whiskey. The spirit’s base is Kinsey’s American Whiskey and then has tea and mulling spices added, as well as a touch of honey, promising a warming sip with a pleasantly sweet finish. 750 ml bottles weigh in at 86.8 proof and are available for $27.99 each for pickup and delivery.

Blue Corn Whiskey from Kinsey

Kinsey Blue Corn Bourbon - Limited New Release

Ever wonder just how corn affects the taste of Bourbon? Then seek out bourbons that showcase different varietals like this limited release from Philadelphia’s New Liberty Distilling’s Kinsey line. Kinsey Blue Corn Bourbon is the latest corn specific whiskey, following on the heels of its Popcorn Bourbon, another specific corn release that has since sold out.

Here, the blue corn is described as “sweeter, nuttier notes to lend a buttery caramel aroma…. Rich nutmeg on the nose, mingled perfectly with candied spice, dried fruit, and cedar wood for a whole new take on tradition.”

Bottles of Kinsey Blue Corn Bourbon are $39.99 and available for curbside pickup, same day delivery to select Philadelphia zip codes and across the state by courier.

If you visit New Liberty this Saturday, you can paint a pumpkin in their courtyard while enjoying warm cocktails and Halloween treats.

Popcorn Bourbon? It’s a Thing

Kinsey Popcorn Bourbon

New Liberty Distilling has just announced new limited release under its Kinsey brand. Get ready for Popcorn Bourbon.

The bourbon is made with Zea Mays Everta Corn. And what is the exotically named Zea Mays Everta Corn? Well it’s the variety of corn typically used for making popcorn. Perfect perhaps for whiskey and a movie? The bourbon also blends Yellow Dent Corn and malted barley. It’s described as beginning “warm on the nose with notes of apple blossom and creamy sassafras. Drinking neat, you’ll find a lightness that carries flavors of vanilla, ripe cherries, and a lingering candied spice.”

The six year aged bourbon weighs in at 43.4% ABV and is available for $39.99 for a 750ml bottle. Follow this link to order Kinsey Popcorn Bourbon for pickup or delivery to Pennsylvania residents.
