About the Author
Pennsy Local is the creation of Arthur Etchells. Etchells first became interested in the craft spirits industry while he was a Senior Editor at Philadelphia magazine and wrote for the blog he created and then sold to the magazine, Foobooz.
While at the magazine, he was integral in getting Philly Craft Spirits Week off the ground and highlighting the local spirits industry in numerous ways. He left Philadelphia magazine to join a local a distillery, where he worked for two-plus years. He is still involved in the local spirits industry as a founding member of the Whiskey Rebellion Trail, which highlights distilleries from across Pennsylvania, as well as throughout the Mid-Atlantic, including Washington D.C. and Baltimore.
